The most cost-effective way of supplying natural gas to Southern Europe
According to the study conducted by the Observatoire Mediterranéen de l’Energie (OME), Medgaz is the most cost-effective way of supplying natural gas to Southern Europe.
It is the most economically advantageous method as it involves a direct and short route, resulting in lower energy costs and avoiding transit tolls for passage through third countries.
In addition, liquefaction process is not required and its transportation and storage are cheaper than in the case of LNG.
